During a little warm snap last week some of the ice melted on the pond in the back yard. The sparrows couldn't resist a winter bath, even in ice water. I love the reflections of the grasses and the colors.
This little guy was in mid-motion so he looks a little distorted. I was trying for an action shot.
The dogs like the ice too. No water this day, but no snow either - just nice smooth ice for them to romp on. Lucy decided to be totally undignified and began rolling around on the ice.
I think she was either trying to bite the ice or wondering who was down there.

I like your photos. You could quilt something like those first two, don't you think?
