It's winter. Lots more time indoors for sewing. I've been using some of my nature kaleidoscopes for small 4 inch sewing projects. These two will be matted and framed. The top one is from a coleus plant. Can you see it?

This one is from a winter snow scene. It looks cold and snowy. It also reminds me of an agate.

Cosmo just about lives on my neck. If I'm sitting, she is wanting to sit on me. She helps me sew, read, drink coffee, watch TV, and snooze. She purrs me to sleep sometimes.

She belongs to the Twisted Sisters. No, they aren't called that just because of how they sleep. It's really because of all the trouble they get into. They are the most destructive kittens we have ever had. So now, in addition to all the money spent on vet care getting they healthy, we get to spend more money replacing things they destroy. But we love them and will let them stay anyhow.

The pond in winter, just before a hard freeze. The bubbler keeps a bit of water open and the fish move around a bit when the water is not too cold.

Under the thin ice before the cold totally destroyed the lily pads. I love watching the fish under the ice. It intrigues me.

Lacy money plant seeds shining in the sunlight.

A still life design, again from the bubbler and the forming ice.

There is a spot between the shrubs and the bird feeder that gets a lot of activity from birds in flight. I have in mind an art project using these kinds of images so I've been shooting lots of photos trying to get some good photos of the birds in the morning light. Good thing I use digital not film! That delete button is a real blessing for things like this.

What kind of winter images bring you delight?
